A Celebration of Life for David Ray Devereaux, age 18, of Enid will be 10:30 am, Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gail Edmison and Rev. Stanley Botts officiating. Family will receive guests Friday, May 6th, 2016 from 6 to 7pm at Ladusau-Evans. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
David Devereaux was born in Enid, Oklahoma and went to meet his Lord and Savior April 28th, 2016 in Wichita, Kansas at Via Christi Trauma Center. David was surrounded by his loving family, wonderful caregivers and his closest friends.
David was the youngest of four children to Samantha Lea Devereaux-Wegmiller and Ken Ray Devereaux. He was very close to his older brother and sisters, Tyler Manuel Dougherty of OKC, Sydnie Ruth Anne
Lickliter of Enid, and McKinzie Kay Lea Devereaux of Enid. David had 2 older sisters on his father’s side, Kandi Ray Brown of Enid, and Kendra Stella of Minnesota.
David enjoyed spending time working with his grandfather Ed Manuel. He devoted time volunteering at his church, working on machinery, water skiing, boating, skateboarding and generally loved being outdoors.
David is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Devereaux.
David Ray is survived by his mother Samantha Wegmiller, father, Ken Ray Devereaux, step-father, Scott Wegmiller, step-brother, Christian Wegmiller; his siblings, Tyler Dougherty, Michael and Sydnie Lickliter, their children Rylinn Marie, 5, Michael Avery Ray, 4, and Harper Elizabeth Anne, 9 months; Josh Lovely and McKinzie Devereaux and their son, Peyton Liam Lovely, 1; grandparents Edward and Sharon Manuel, Billie Dick, David Dougherty, Bobby Wegmiller and great-grandmothers Maggie Moore and Arlene Dougherty, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. David is also survived by step-mother Roxanne Devereaux and her children, Blake Thilsted and Paige Devereaux; and half-sister Kendra Stella.
Memorials may be made to Orion Services of Southwest Oklahoma, or KLove FM Radio with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund.
