Dennis Deck

The funeral service for Dennis Wayne Deck, age 52, Enid resident will be held Wednesday, at 2:00 pm, July 7, 2010 at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Jim Edmison will officiate. Graveside will be at the Waukomis Cemetery.
Dennis was born July 13, 1957, in Enid, OK, not alone but 4 minutes before his identical twin brother to William and Kathryn Deck. He died, July 3, 2010 at his home in Enid surrounded by his loving family and friends. He attended Enid public schools and received a business administration degree at OU, which led to an 8 year career as a Garfield County Assessor and 18 years as a real estate appraiser.
He had a great love for nature and the outdoors. He was a hunter and fisherman. His hobby for building wooden boats was recognized when “wooden boat” magazine published an article on “Red Lady II” in 1994.
He was a tender, caring, loving husband and father, devoted son, faithful brother, uncle and supportive friend.
He is survived by his wife, Jerri of the home; son, Christopher Deck of Enid, OK; father, William Deck of Enid, OK; sister, Cheryl Beasley and husband Jim of Enid, OK and nieces, Kelli Wilson of Oklahoma City, OK, Cydi Beaseley of Enid, OK; nephew, Chad Lisle of Alabama and grandnieces, Briley, Addison and Eden.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn and identical twin, Douglas.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to OU Center Cancer Institution with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be emailed to the family at ladusauevans@suddenlinkmail.com.
