Frances Davidson

Jean Davidson, age 85 of Overland Park, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013, following a long illness. She was born Frances Jean Barth on May 11, 1928, in Enid, OK. She graduated from Chickasha High School and attended Oklahoma College for Women. Jean married Bill C. Davidson in 1948 and enjoyed 53 years of devoted marriage until his death in 2001. She was a loving and committed homemaker and mother, assisting her husband through their many moves during his long railroading career while raising their five sons. She was also a proud grandmother of six. She is survived by Gary and Linda Davidson of Boerne, TX; Michael Davidson of Tulsa, OK; Mark and Sharon Davidson of Independence, MO; Doug and Susie Davidson of Overland Park, KS; Philip and Kelley Davidson of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Laura Davidson of Austin, TX; Brian Davidson of Independence, MO; Cole and Grant Davidson of Wichita, KS and Elliott and Elizabeth Davidson of Overland Park. The family will receive friends at Jean’s home in Overland Park on Friday, Oct. 4 from 4:00 to 7:00. Burial will be 2:00 pm Sunday, October 6, 2013 in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, OK with Rev. Don Tines officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau Evans Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
