Celebration of Life Service for Danny Davidson, age 76, of Enid will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Community Bible Church in Lahoma with Rev Bill Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Aline, OK under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 6-7 pm at the funeral home.
Danny was born near Ringwood Oklahoma on April 3 1943, to Daniel and Susie Hamen Davidson. He resided in the Ringwood area until he was drafted in the U.S Army in 1964. He served two years in the military and his time of service took him to Fort Benning Georgia, Fort Eustis Virginia, and advanced aircraft mechanic training in Connecticut.
He met Linda Lawrence in 1966 and the two were wed on Aug 2 1969. They made their homes in the Lahoma and Enid area. They were married for 50 years until his death on Christmas day 2019. He was a cement finisher by trade and worked with Davidson Brothers Construction for several years. In 1980 he formed his own construction company with partner Art Kuehny and remained in construction until Dec 1996. Following his stint in construction, Dan was employed as an aircraft mechanic at Vance AFB from 1996 until his retirement in 2008.
Danny loved watching western movies, collecting coins, traveling, watching OKC Thunder games and spending quality time with his beloved family and many friends. He was a Christian man with a big heart, who loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His life was reflected by humility, forgiveness and kindness. He was a member of Community Bible Church of Lahoma. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife Linda of the home. Two Children: Son, Lance Davidson of Enid, Daughter, Kammi Koehn of Enid, Two Grandchildren: Kendan Koehn of Enid and Kaleb Koehn of OKC. Four brothers: Jerry and Betty Davidson, Boone and Judy Davidson, Wayne Davidson, Max and Beulah Davidson. Three Sisters: Lorene Henry, Shirley Pekrul, Carolyn and Bill Mays.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Daniel and Susie Davidson, brothers Ted Davidson and Don Davidson, sister Kay Shankle, Half-sisters, Velta, Valdene and Velma. One half brother, John.
