The funeral service for Ralph D Cox, age 88 will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Terry Chick will officiate. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Ralph was born July 5, 1923 in Oakhill, KS to Elsworth and Nettie Cox and died in Enid, OK on January 8, 2012. He was raised in Enid and attended Enid Public Schools.
He served in the US Army during WW II. He worked for Longbell and Banks Lumber Company. He married Wilma Potter. She passed away July 25, 1993. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and life long member of VFW Post 2270 where he served in several different offices. He was very active in bowling.
Survivors include his son, Dwayne Cox of Oklahoma City, OK; nephew, Raymond Cox of Enid; several nieces and nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wilma, three brothers, Carl, Kenneth, and Keith and one sister, Marie Johnson.
