A Celebration of Life for Wanda M Copeland, 87, of Enid will be Thursday, May 11, 2017, 2:00 PM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Jones officiating. The interment will follow on Friday, May 12, 2017, 2:00 PM at the Erick City Cemetery, Erick, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 7 pm at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Wanda was born August 7, 1929 in Erick, Oklahoma the daughter of George and Thelma Balkcom Ellis and passed away May 5, 2017.
Wanda was a graduate of Erick High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Tommy J Copeland June 21, 1949 in Cherokee, Oklahoma. Following high school graduation she was employed by Mid-Continent Life Insurance Company as an Addressograph Operator. In 1963, she was employed by Atwood’s for thirty years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed caring for her flowers and feeding the birds and squirrels. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, infectious laugh and love and devotion for her family and friends. She lived her life to the fullest.
Survivors include a daughter, Gail Dickerson and her husband Doug, two grandchildren, Dan (Jaime) Butler and Gabe (Lyndsay) Watts, all of Enid, five great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild and a brother, AJ (Sara) Ellis of Enid and six nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Gail and two nieces.
