A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Don L. “Donnie” Cooper, 65, of Enid, will be Saturday, March 14, 2015, 12 Noon at The First Church of God in Christ with Pastor Robert E. Robinson officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Donnie was born July 22, 1949 in Enid, OK the son of Willie Cooper and Carrie Mae Dixon and passed away March 6, 2015 at The Commons. He was united in marriage to Delois Jones on September 4, 2009 and she preceded him in death in 2010 .Donnie was employed as an over the road truck driver. Donnie enjoyed cooking, cards and breeding pit bulls.
Survivors include two sisters, Naziaree Butler of Victorville, CA, Sharon Barnett of Oklahoma City, OK, three brothers, Henry Butler of Sacramento, CA, K.O. Cooper of Enid, OK and Willie Cooper Jr. of Seattle, WA, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and two step-children, Shengua Brinson and Henry Turner of Birmingham, AL; and his companion, Jessie Wade of Enid, OK. He was preceded in death by his parent, sisters, Theresa Cooper and Carolyn Chiles and a brother, Orlando Chiles.
