While living in Kansas he met and married Nancy Schiller Lancaster, with whom he spent many happy years. After retiring from the service station business he worked in the Goddard, KS public system, and retired from the schools for a second time after ten years of service. Following the death of Nancy he returned to Enid and spent many happy hours fishing, painting, working on his house, and spending time with his family members. Just last year, on St. Patrick’s Day, he married his companion, Edith Delanty, formerly of Wichita, KS.
