Mary Conger

The Celebration of Life service for Mary Ann Conger, age 83, of Enid, will be Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

An additional Memorial Service for Mary will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Mission Hills Church, 620 Southpark Drive, LIttleton, Colorado. Pastor Rick Derbyshire will officiate. Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband Charles in Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.

Mary Ann Conger was born June 3, 1933, in Oakland Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Ruby Taylor and died peacefully August 29, 2016 in Enid Oklahoma. Mary was a retired maintenance supervisor with Jefferson County Schools in Denver, Colorado. Mary was united in marriage to Charles Edward Conger, December 11, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas.

In retirement, Mary and Charles moved from Denver, Colorado to Enid, Oklahoma. She volunteered in several capacities as a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mary was widely known to help where needed. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved studying her Bible, watching “Murder She Wrote” and Christian programming on television.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Goodall of Denver, Colorado, two sons, Robert of Wichita, Kansas and Wayne of Denver, Colorado, two sisters, Janene Ray of Denver, Colorado and Donna Rourick of Atlantic, Iowa, thirteen grandchildren, and over twenty great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two siblings, husband, Charles, two sons, Ronald and Eric, and a daughter, Sharon Flageolle.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Calvary Baptist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
