Harry Congdon

June 11, 1951 — September 28, 2010

To know Harry, was to love Harry.

Harry was born in and spent his life in Enid. He went to be with the Lord peacefully at home with his family by his side.

He was an amazing man, full of love, who lived a life that impacted many people in many ways. Harry always had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready with a funny story or great one-liners known as “Harryisms”. He was a handy man, could fix anything and was a perfectionist when it came to each and every project.

He was a giving person. He gave his time, energy and

love to anyone in need.

Harry enjoyed many things including playing his guitar, riding his motorcycle, camping and fishing with his family.

Many people will remember Harry as Enid Public Schools Stadium Supervisor. He loved his job and took pride in every aspect of it. Harry was loved and respected by his co-workers, the football team and school personnel.

Harry was a proud Eagle Scout and lived the Scout oath. Recognized as a hero, on two separate occasions he risked his life to save the lives of two people.

Harry’s soul mate and best friend was is wife, Kathy. He showed her his love and respect everyday.

Of all the things Harry loved in life, his family was his

passion. He was most proud of being a father and “Papa” to his grandkids.

He believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal

savior. Harry was a member of Central Christian Church.

He will always be a part of who we are. We will always strive to lead the exemplary life he led for the rest of our lives.

The world is a far better place because he was in it. He will be missed so much.

Harry is survived by his wife Kathy, son Jason and his wife Andrea Congdon of Waukomis, daughter Jamie Hromas and husband Tim of Enid, his parents Zee Congdon of Enid and Harold Congdon of Terlton, mother-in-law Eunice (Barney) Barnes, Sister Mary McCoy and husband Tim, brother Mike and wife Robyn and five grandchildren
