Cora Coker

January 22, 1917 — January 28, 2011

The funeral service for Cora “Jeanette” Coker, age 94 will be held Thursday,

February 3, 2011 at 10:00 am at the First United Methodist Church. Rev Susan

Southall will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements

are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jeanette was born January 22, 1917 in Enid, OK to John Wesley and Edith

Atkinson Hite and died January 28, 2011 at the Commons Methodist Home.

She married Glen C Coker. He passed away April 26, 1986. After High school

Jeanette attended Business school in Kansas City.

She worked as a sales clerk at Kennedy’s in the ladies wear. She was a member

of First United Methodist Church for 94 years. She was a member of the Beta

Sigma Phi for 40 years and held every office at least once; a member of the Hoe

and Grow Garden Club, Enid Fine Arts Club. Chapter GFPEO; Eastern Star and

Meadow Lake Women’s Golf Association. She was an avid golfer and bridge

player.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Loughman of Enid, OK, Beverly Jones of

Rancho Santa Margareta, CA; three grandchildren, Justin Loughman, Hillary West

and Coker Jones; and three great grandchildren: Lilly Loughman, Benjamin West

and Abigail West.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Floyd Hite and Wesley Jr

Hite.

Memorials may be to First United Methodist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral
