Graveside services for Harold Brent Coffman, age 92, of Enid, will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Rev. Alan Seibel will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Harold was born October 28, 1928 in Lawrie, Oklahoma to Clarence and Dorothy (Grindle) Coffman, and passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 in Enid.
Harold grew up in Lawrie, Oklahoma and attended Mulhall Public Schools. He joined the United States Army, serving his country for three years during the Korean War. He married Cynthia Arlene Powell on July 1, 1957 in Gainesville, Texas, and they were married 60 years prior to Arlene’s passing in 2017. Harold was discharged from the army in 1950. He began his career working in the oilfield first as a roughneck and driller before going to work for Smith Tool Company as a salesman, then working his way up to district manager. He retired after over 30 years of service. He and Arlene were members of the Guthrie First Baptist Church.
Harold enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping.
Harold is preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; his parents, Clarence and Lola; four brothers, Marvin, Delbert, Floyd and Vern; and two sisters, Annabelle and Dorothy. He is survived by three children, Sandy Moore and husband Randy; Brent Coffman and wife Lisa; Tony Coffman and wife Robin, all of Enid; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Glen Coffman, of Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Memorial contributions in Harold’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
