Freeda Clark

The funeral service for Freeda Lee Hargrove Clark, age 85 will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Dr Sheila Combs-Francis will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Freeda was born to James C and Ruth (Battin) Hargrove in Canton, OK on August 15, 1925 and died May 29, 2011 at St Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Enid, OK. She attended Canton Schools until her senior year when she moved to California and where she graduated from High School and Junior College.

Moved back to Oklahoma in 1944 and went to work for Sears Roebuck as Secretary to the store manager. She married Homer B Clark in 1948. After her children were born she went to work for Herzberg Financial Services in 1962, retiring on March 31, 2011 as Executive Assistant to the President of the corporation.

She was a long-time member of New Hope Methodist Church. She is a 50 year member of Delta Theta Chi Sorority, V.F.W. Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, RSVP, Bass Hospital Volunteers and the Women of the Moose. She has exceled in the Women of the Moose where she has been a member since 1978. She is a Past Deputy Grand Regent for the State of Oklahoma, Past International Academy of Friendship Board member, 2 time International Co-Worker and in the Top 5 International Winner for all Women of the Moose International Organization. She served for 10 years as Secretary/Treasurer for the Oklahoma Council of Higher Degrees for the Moose Lodges. In the local Chapter, she has held a number of offices, earned all of the degrees of the Chapter and was still active.

She is survived by daughter, Beverly and husband Jack Kehnemund and son, Robert Clark of Enid; grandchildren, Heath and Megan Kehnemund of Enid, LeAnn and Kenny Rogers of Fort Worth, TX, James Sheil of Midwest City, Eric and Alan Sheil of Valley View, TX and son-in-law, Jim Sheil of Valley View, TX; eight great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, Frederick; a daughter, Ruth, 1 great granddaughter, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
