A Celebration of Life for Karen Carris, 61 of Enid, will be Saturday, September 10, 2016, 1:00 PM at the Liberty Southern Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Holt officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Christian Church Cemetery near Wakita, OK. Karen was born April 9, 1955 in Enid, the daughter of Jerald and Opal Holt and passed away September 7, 2016.
Karen was united in marriage to James Carris June 30, 1972 in Enid, OK. She was very active in the real-estate business as a realtor, home builder and licensed appraiser. As a child Karen was a member of the Thunderbirds and played drums and piano. Karen was a very involved grandmother and rescued many cats.
Survivors include her husband James, two sons, Sean and Jason and his wife Abby, a daughter, Rebecca Kroeker, five grandchildren, Morgan and Kimmy Carris, Hallee, Carson and Collin Kroeker, four brothers, her mother and her mother-in-law, Margie Carris.
