A Celebration of Life and Remembrance for Ronald “Ron” Carpenter will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2014 at West Willow Community Church, Enid, Oklahoma with Pastor Don Tines officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Ron passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in Enid.
Ron was born February 1, 1946 in Chanute, KS to parents Harlan Carpenter and Iola (Byrum) Carpenter. He grew up in Humbolt, KS graduating high school in 1964, attending Pittsburg State University until his senior year when he was drafted into the United States Navy. He served his country for three years, including a tour in Vietnam. He married the love of his life, Charlotte Allen November 2, 1974, and they celebrated 40 wonderful years together. They had two sons, Brett and Chris, of whom he was extremely proud.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Charlotte, of the home in Enid, son Brett Carpenter and wife Tara, of Enid; son Chris Carpenter of Enid; six grandchildren, a sister, Darlene Dubro, of Mansfield, TX; brother, Gary Carpenter, of Texas, as well as several nieces and nephews.
