Graveside services for Bonnie Alma (Cross) Carlock age 92 of Enid will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Memory Garden Chapel at the Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Stanley Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Bonnie was born in Covington, OK on August 29, 1919 to Lilly Massengale and Jacob Joe Cross and passed away January 21, 2012. She grew up in the Clinton area.
Bonnie married James Edward Dodd in 1941 and lived in Enid. During World War II, she inspected Boeing airplane wings in Kansas. After moving to Portland, Oregon, she worked at Jantzen's. She married Edward J. Carlock, and moved to Mesa, Arizona where she assisted a veterinarian. She wants to be remembered most for her love for animals. She moved back to Enid in 1995.
She is survived by nieces Betty Nault, Fern Boe, Judy Davidson, Barbara Joan, Betty Garcia, and Bea Roelse, nephew Chris Cross and 124 grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her sister Pearl Moffett, brothers, Dan, Alfred, Stanley, and Chester Cross.
Memorials may be made to Enid SPCA with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
