Leona Campbell

A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Leona Gill Campbell, of Lahoma will be Friday, October 23, 2015, 2:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma with Pastor Gerald Roggow officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Mrs. Campbell slipped away and went to her heavenly home October 19, 2015.

She graduated from Lahoma High School in 1934 and then graduated from Enid Business College. Leona was untied in marriage to Clair E. Gill in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1948. She then married Leighton Campbell in 1956 and he preceded her in death in 1987. Leona was employed as a secretary in the oil field business until her retirement in 1970 and then returned to Lahoma coming from New York City. She was member of of Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma. Leona was a fancy lady, a good Christian woman and will be missed by many.

Survivors include four step-children and many nieces and nephews and her beloved pet, Betsy. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Letha Sharp, Zeda Theilen and Elna Lamunyon and two brothers, Homer and Melvin Benkendorf.
