Graveside services for Lula Burgess, 57, of Enid, will be Friday, Dec.21, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Enid Cemetery with Rev. Janice Buffalo officiating. Services under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Lula was born Feb. 4, 1955 in Canton, IL and passed away Dec. 17, 2012. She was a graduate of Canton High School in 1974. She was employed by A and W Restaurant and then was employed by Papaco Golf Course in Phoenix, AZ . She moved to Enid in 1981 where she was employed by Howard Johnsons Café where she met Jimmy Burgess and they were married Feb. 14, 1982. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Survivors include one brother Steven Clark and his wife Loretta of Enid, six sisters, twenty two nieces and nephews, thirty one great nieces and nephews and thirty great great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, a sister and a nephew and a brother-in-law.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
