The funeral service for Ila J Burgess, age 90, will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Dr Leslie C Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the director of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Ila was born November 28, 1920 in Weleetka, OK to L.S. and Ruby (Armstrong) Welch and died October 29, 2011 in Oklahoma City, OK.
Ila married Albert F Burgess on September 14, 1940 in Okmulgee, OK. He passed away April 8, 1994. Ila was a homemaker most of her life and loved gardening.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Blackwell of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Riley Burgess of Ridgecrest, CA; four grandchildren: Jason and Scott Guthrie and Jessica and Kristine Burgess; and one sister, Geraldine Gregg of Enid.
Ila was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Otis and sister, Oneta.
