A Celebration of Life Service for Thomas Eugene(Gene) Brumfield age 75 of Ringwood will be 1:00 pm Tuesday at Faith Center in Meno, OK with Rev. Cody Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Gene was born April 15, 1939 in Okemah, OK to Thomas J. And Esther Belcher Brumfield and passed away at his home on Friday, February 6, 2015. He grew up in Okemah and attended school. Gene married Benny Vails on June 7, 1960 in Durant, OK. They lived in Oklahoma City and moved to Ringwood in 1971. Gene worked in pipeline construction starting out as an equipment operator and later became a pipeline welder. In 1999, he became a pipeline inspector and retired in 2007 from Southwind Inspections. He attended Faith Center in Meno.
He is survived by his wife Benny of the home, son Terry D. Brumfield and wife Cindy of Enid, daughter Lea Ann Cox and husband Shane of Denton, TX, two grandchildren Brianna and Colton Cox.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Freda Cornell, Louise Van Meter and Wyvonne Redding.
