A celebration of life and remembrance for Lucille Bruce, age 92, of Enid, will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, Oklahoma with Reverend Jim Edmison officiating The family will receive friends at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 20, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Lucille passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Enid.
Lucille was born April 28, 1922, in Anadarko, OK to parents Theodore Bert Hill and Dovie (Cooper) Hill. She graduated from High School from Verden High, a member of the class of 1941. She married Jimmy Bruce just prior to graduation and they were married 63 wonderful years. He was the love of her life. They had four children, two that preceded them in death. Lucille and Jimmy were baptized in 1974 and attended a small local Baptist Church in Enid.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy, her parents, two children, a daughter, Claris Ray and son, Billy Ron Bruce.
She is survived by son Jimmy Bruce and wife Narika, of Sao Paulo, Brazil, South America; daughter Sherry Penner and husband Jerald, of Columbus, Indiana; grandsons Nigel and Sannnon, both of San Paula, Brazil, South America; granddaughter, Shelia Barrix and husband Scott, of Columbus, IN; grandson, Bryan Penner and wife Amy of Raleigh, NC; four great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Cameron Barrix of Columbus, IN and Bradon and Bryce Penner of Raleigh, NC.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, or The Sterling House with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
