Graveside services for Shirley Bromlow, 72, of Longdale, OK. will be at 2:00pm on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sun City, Kansas. There will be a Memorial come-and-go event at the Fairview Auditorium on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00pm for family and friends. All are invited to share memories and stories from Shirley's life.
Shirley Irene Bromlow was born on March 23, 1946 in Hardtner, KS and died January 30, 2019. She was the oldest daughter of Iona Mae and Walter "Pete" Braden. She graduated from High School in Sun City, KS in 1965. She married her first husband Keith Danley soon after and they had their son Quentin.
She married Kenneth Bromlow in 1974 and together they had twin girls. They settled in Fairview, OK in 1985 where she made her career as a manager at Karl's. Working there she was lucky to meet and make friends with nearly the entire town of Fairview. She was well known for her quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and smile.
Shirley loved the outdoors, birds, and dragons. She was a talented artist and enjoyed making stipple point drawings and zentangles. At home she spent time watching her large collection of VHS movies and playing Words with Friends. She looked forward to the summers when she would get to spend time with her grandson and buddy Kreg.
She is survived by her brother Don Braden and sister Lois Braden, twin daughters Kristina Donaldson and Melissa Harrison, son Quentin Danley, beloved step children Kendra "Kandy" Grimes and Paul Bromlow, brought to the marriage by her second husband Kenneth Bromlow, 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Bromlow, sister Linda Semple, and step daughter Sheryl Flemming.
