A time of visitation for Ones T “Tony” Bright, age 88 will be until noon on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, February 8, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Luginbuel Chapel, Vinita, OK. Burial will be in the McLaughlin Cemetery, Cleora, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Tony was born January 26, 1922 in Burbank, OK to Arvin and Golden (Strader) Bright and passed away, Wednesday, February 2, 2010 in Edmond, OK. He graduated from the Burbank High School and attended Spartan Aeronautical in Tulsa, OK and Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, OK.
He served in the US Army Air Corp from 1942-1945.
He married Lee Ora Spencer in 1942. She passed away March 12, 2001.
He worked overseas in Venezuela, Chile and Argentina for Petro Teck until 1963 when he moved to Enid, OK. He worked for George E Failing, retiring in 1986. He was a fiddle maker and player.
Survivors include his son, Ray Bright and wife Ann of Edmond, OK; three sisters, Genevieve Conner of Afton, OK, Martha Verner of Springfield, MO and Zenia Hudson of Grove, OK; one grandchild, Golden Eckhardt and three great grandchildren: Gabe, Tristan and Krystalyn.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
