Eva H. ‘Granny B’ Bridgeman, 94, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Parkwood Village in Pratt, Kansas. She was born October 21, 1918 in Lincoln County, OK, the daughter of Harry and Elsie (Bowman) Tucker. On June 9, 1937 she married Ross E. Bridgeman at Enid, OK. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1985.
Eva was a farm wife and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid, OK for over 20 years. The family lived at Zenda, KS from 1952-1960, then they moved back to Oklahoma. In 2000 she moved to Cunningham, KS and wrote a column for the Cunningham Courier.
She is survived by a son, Ronald (Ruth Ann) Bridgeman of Zenda, KS, a daughter, Donna (Karl) Werner of Zenda, KS, 7 grandchildren, David Bridgeman, Andy Bridgeman, JeanAnn Marquez, Lisa Young, Karla Westerman, Janene Gillen and Karen Tommer, 15 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother Marvin Tucker.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt, KS, with Pastor Mike McGovney presiding and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, 2800 N. Van Buren, Enid, OK. Private inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, OK.
