Will Leonard Breckenridge “Sarge” age 78, left this world to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct 28, 2013. Will was residing at Greenbrier Nursing home in Enid Oklahoma at the time of his death.
Born November 24, 1934, in Moline Illinois, Will joined the Army in 1952 and served 19 honorable years in the United States Army and 13 years in an Army Reserve unit. He retired in 1984. While in the Army, he received numerous medals including the Bronze Star, Commendation Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and the National Defense Service Medal. Will was an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Specialist and served three tours in Vietnam.
Will was a sweet “charmer” with a funny gruff side and quick wit. Anyone who met him took an instant liking to him. Will’s passion was the military and he loved his military “family” at Vance AFB.
Will is preceded in death by this Mother and Father, one brother and two sisters.
He is survived by his daughter Lynda Wilson of Arkansas, his sister Rose Marie Miller of Omaha Nebraska, three brothers; Roy Breckenridge, of Albuquerque New Mexico, and Harold and Albert Breckenridge of Omaha Nebraska.
A private military funeral with full honors will be held in Ft Sill, Oklahoma.
