Funeral services for Joyce Renee’ Bower age 52 of Okemah will be 2 pm Thursday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in the Pond Creek Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Renee’ was born September 17, 1959 to Joyce Ewer and Jess Thomas Stipe in Canyon, TX and passed away in Shawnee, OK in Solara Hospital after a lengthy battle with COPD on June 10, 2012. She attended school in Canyon and Gruver, TX. Her career was in Safeway and Homeland Grocery from 1985 until her retirement in 2011.

Renee’ married Ronnie Adcock in 1975 and gave birth to Robin Adcock and Justin Adcock. He passed away in 1982. She married Steve Christian and gave birth to Steve Christian. She later married Larry Bower on January 24, 1997 in Taos, NM. They lived in Guymon, OK until moving to Seminole and presided in Okemah until her death.

Renee’ is survived by her husband Larry Bower of the home, sons, Steven Ray Christian of the home, son Justin and wife Dulce Adcock of Stillwater, OK and Brandon and his wife Amy Bower of Enid, daughters Shannon and husband Mike Rogers and Amanda Pospisil of Enid, three brothers, Raymond and wife Janice Stipe, Marty and wife Candy Stipe both of Sunray, TX, and Gary Stipe of Portland, Oregon, step mother Beth Stipe of Amarillo, TX, Step brother Jerry Mangum of Tulsa, Step sister Ginny Williams of Amarillo, TX, mother-in-law Jane Gragert and husband John of Enid, 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.
