Geraldine Boese

The funeral service for Geraldine “Jerri” Boese, age 85, will be held Friday, May 6, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Calvary Assembly of God. Rev Richard Fleig will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation with the family Thursday from 6-7 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jerri was born on January 3, 1926 to Fred E. and Hetti J. Dollar in Plainview, Texas and went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Jerri’s parents were Evangelists and she grew up traveling throughout the South with stops in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.

Jerri married Carl Daniel Boese on November 4, 1943 shortly after his discharge from the Army. They started their family in Oklahoma City in 1952 and by 1956 had three chidren. In 1963 they relocated to Southern California, living primarily in Huntington Beach. They relocated to Enid in 1993 to be closer to the Carl’s extended family in this area. Since Jerri was an only child, Carl’s brother Paul and sister Thelma, were like her own brother and sister.

Jerri was a member of Calvary Assembly of God.

Jerri is survived by her husband of 67 years, Carl, her son De Wayne and his wife Ann Marie of Enid, her daughter Robbie Koos and her husband Alan of Grand Junction, Colorado, grandchildren Cori, Dan, and Scott Boese, Ryan Wilson, Jaden and Cassidy Koos, Brandi Donesky, Breanna Donesky, Anna Fahsholtz, Jon and Patrick Sullens, twelve great-grandchildren, nephews Joe, Lynn, Art, and Vin Jensen, Bob and Bill Boese, Alvin, Renzer, and Daryl Boese, Clay and Jean Boese, and nieces Josephine Perry and Jeanenne Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Debbie Nixon.

Memorials may be made to the Calvary Assembly of God – Children’s Bus Ministry.
