Roy Boehs

March 6, 1960 — November 28, 2015

A memorial service for Roy Lee Boehs will be 10:30 am, December 8, 2015 at the Enid First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Dan Barrick officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Roy passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015.

Roy was born March 6, 1960 on Ft. Ord in Monterey, California to Leroy Boehs and Darlene (Hiekes) Boehs. They lived on the family farm near Ringwood before moving to Waukomis in 1975. He graduated from Waukomis High School in 1978. Following graduation he worked along with his dad in the oilfield operating heavy equipment. He married Donise Skinner and on April 2, 1997 they had one son, Eric. They made their home in Fairview, Oklahoma.

On October 24, 2002 Roy married Kathy Classen in Enid where they resided until the time of Roy’s death. It was always Roy’s dream to own his own business. He and Kathy sold their farm and moved to Enid where they started Cutting Edge Dozer Service, Inc. Realizing his dream of owning his own business was a time of great happiness and fulfillment for them. One of his favorite past times was working with wood in his shop at home. He enjoyed building anything from furniture to shutters to trellises. He and Kathy enjoyed the tranquility of their farm, they called it “Paradise”.

Roy had strong faith, and he drew strength during his battle with cancer from God, never losing faith and remaining positive.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Boehs.

Roy is survived by his wife Kathy of the home, his son Eric and wife Heather Boehs of Edmond, mother Darlene Boehs of Ringwood, brother Shawn Boehs and wife Vicki of Ringwood, sister Cindy and husband Gary Nightingale, of Longdale, a stepson, Michael and wife Erin Classen, of Enid, stepson Bradly and wife Whitney Classen, of Enid, and four grandchildren, Allie Boehs, Elliot and Amelia Classen and Eli Classen.

Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dexeus and his staff for their wonderful and compassionate care of Roy during his illness. The nurses that cared for Roy were all special to him. You will never know how much it meant to us.
