Carol Blackwell

A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Carol Blackwell will be Tuesday, August 25, 2015, 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Les Brown officiating. There will also be a Memorial Service for John and Carol Blackwell, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 7 pm at the First Christian Church in Midwest City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Carol was born August 13, 1946 in Enid, Ok the daughter of Albert and Ila Jo Burgess. She and her husband John passed away August 15, 2015. She was a proud member of the Creek Nation. Carol was employed as a registered nurse at Midwest City hospital until her retirement. Carol was a member of the First Christian Church of Midwest City for over 30 years. She and her husband were active members of the church choir and OCA.

Survivors include two sons, Jason and Scott Guthrie, one brother, Riley Burgess, an aunt, Geraldine Gregg and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by a former husband, George England.
