A Celebration of Life for Marjorie (Geier) Biby, age 91, of Enid, is 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 1,2020 at the graveside at Hawley Cemetery with Reverend Gary Lillie officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Marjorie was born in Anthony, Kansas on May 15, 1929 to Edward and Maye (Pracht) Geier, and passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 in Enid.
She married Lyndel Keith Biby in June, 1947, and they made their home on the farm in Hawley. They had three sons; Dennis, born in May, 1949; Dale, born in September, 1950; and Dan, born in November, 1960. They raised cattle, hogs, premier alfalfa seed, and sold truckloads of Bermuda grass. Marjorie worked as a tax assistant for a local CPA in Grant County. In 1978, Lyndel and Marjorie retired from farming and moved to Enid where she worked at K-Mart as a grill manager and customer service supervisor for nine years. Marjorie and Lyndel loved to travel in their motor home, covering the entire United States and Canada. They also toured Europe and enjoyed several ocean cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. They had a home in Harbor, Oregon for six years and spent the summers fishing and enjoying the cool climate.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lyndel Biby. Marjorie is survived by her three sons; Dennis, of Annapolis; Dale and Carolyn of Sand Springs; and Dan of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Marjorie’s name be made to the Hawley Cemetery, Bethel Hawley Baptist Church, or Hawley Fire Department with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
