Funeral services for James E. Betchan, 70, will be Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, 10:00 AM at The Immanuel Lutheran Church in Garber, OK with Pastor Scott Ray officiating. Private burial will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Garber.
Jim was born in Perry, OK Dec. 4, 1943 to Herbert and Helen Cain Betchan. He passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.
He was baptized and later confirmed in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968.
On October 11, 1963 he married Carol Haskins and they have two sons, Jay and wife Minka, David, and grandsons, Hayden and Parker.
He is also survived by seven sisters, three brothers and their families.
