Vera F Best, age 88 of Enid passed from this life on Wednesday evening, July 4, 2010 at the Golden Oaks Nursing Center, Enid, OK.
Vera was born on October 18, 1921 in Tahlequah, OK to Oscar L and Ella (Holt) Battenfield. She received her education in the Wagoner, OK school system. Vera and Kenneth Best were united in marriage on March 18, 1944 in Medford, OK.
Vera was a homemaker for most of her life. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, sewing and she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of the home; one son, Gerald Best and his wife, Sandra of Broken Arrow, OK; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Garden Chapel with Rev Gary Lillie officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
