A Celebration of Life service for Barry Beckwith, age 73, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm Saturday August 28, 2021 at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kelly Cronkhite officiating. Following the service, the family will host an ice cream social at Blaze’s BBQ. Interment will be 11 am, Monday, August 30th at the DeBolt Cemetery in Arnett, OK. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Barry Gale Beckwith had a joyful reunion with his beloved wife Lenora when he entered Heaven’s Gates on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, after a short bout with Covid pneumonia. He shared firstborn status with his twin, Larry Dale Beckwith, when they were born to Kenneth and Louise Beckwith in Perryton, TX on November 8, 1947. The boys enjoyed a rich childhood with their siblings Kirby and Kathy growing up on the family farm outside Balko, Oklahoma. Using their creativity and adventure, the kids kept themselves entertained and their parents on their toes!
Barry married the love of his life, Lenora Schoenhals Beckwith, on July 2, 1971, and they shared 49 years together until they were temporarily separated by Lenora’s death in July, 2020. Barry and Lenora lived in Shattuck, OK for many years before relocating to Enid, OK in 1997.
Barry was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Earl and his beloved Lenora. He is survived by his mother, Louise Beckwith, of Guymon, OK; twin, Larry Beckwith of Sand Springs, OK; Kirby Beckwith and wife Kay of Hardesty, OK; Kathy (Beckwith) Adelman and husband Jimmy, of Creede, CO; daughter Jennifer Baker and husband, Clinton, and their children, Carston and Courtney of Zionsville, IN; son, Bryce Beckwith of Enid; as well as many nieces, nephews and an abundance of dear friends.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
