Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Tammy was born in Bermuda on July 16, 1964, to Marvin and Judith (Rainey) Burchfield, and passed away after a battle with pneumonia on Saturday, July 2, 2022, in Enid, Oklahoma. Tammy was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children, grandchildren and family. She loved her days spent at their pool and spending time in her beautiful flower garden. She graduated from Enid High School in 1982. She attended Enid Vo-Tech, Tarrant Co. Junior College, Northern Oklahoma College and the University of Phoenix, where she studied Medical Coding. Tammy was very well versed in the language of medical codes. She was a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders and was asked to be a speaker representing the AAPC at the "Islands of Coding" Annual Conference in Hawaii, and for Harris Methodist Southwest on the topic of rural health clinics. She worked for Enid Urology Associates for seven years; Integris Bass Baptist Hospital for twelve years, and Harris Methodist Health Systems and Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, for several years. Tammy married Dennis Beard on August 4, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She and Dennis enjoyed spending time with family, their pets, and traveling, going on cruises to Alaska and visiting Hawaii. She lost Dennis on April 26, 2020.
Tammy is survived by her daughter, Shelby Krohngold and granddaughter Emery Krohngold of California; Daughter Courtney Irwin and grandson Logan Birkett of Enid; grandchildren Corwyn Beard, Maryn Beard, and Allasyn Beard; her mother Judith Burchfield; sisters, Kim Zgavec and Barbara Burchfield of Enid; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and countless friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dennis Beard, father Marvin Burchfield, and her brother Marvin Burchfield Junior.
Tammy loved her furry family members so we are asking you please consider contributions to the Enid SPCA in her honor in lieu of flowers, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
