Mary Beth was born November 8, 1931 in Dacoma, OK to Clifton and Gertrude (Murray) McKay and passed away May 31, 2023 in The Commons. She grew up in the Helena Community where she attended and graduated from high school. She married Robert Baker on June 7, 1949 in Helena. She worked at Safeway and later worked as a receptionist for Dr. Ralph Patterson retiring after several years.
Mary Beth was in truth a remarkable woman. The light of the Lord and her Faith in Him shone forth from her very being. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. With a gifted singing voice, she blessed countless. And was full of pride to see that gift in her grandchildren.
Mary Beth was active, and that is an understatement. Active in the lives of her entire family. Following her boys and grandchildren to all sports and other activities to cheer them on. Active in her community from 4H to her church. First United Methodist Church was her rock. She loved, participated, held offices in woman’s clubs, served on many committees and of course loved singing in the church choir. She loved her Church and its people and that of course came from her love for her Savior Jesus.
Mary Beth will be missed by the innumerable number of lives that she touched. We are greatly blessed to have had her as our guiding matriarch.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis and wife Donna Kay Baker, Lynn and wife Kathy Baker, Wendall and wife Sidney Baker, Jeff and wife Susan Baker, and Greg and wife Annette Baker, 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, brother Mike McKay and wife Ferral, sisters; Patti Hovis and husband Gary, Cheryl Killam and husband Bob, Carol Sweeney and husband Mark and several other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Baker, and 2 grandchildren.
