A Celebration of Life and Remembrance for Howard John Badger, age 62 years, of Enid, is 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Enid, OK, with Bishop Ryan Redd officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Howard passed away Friday, September 18, 2015.
Howard was born December 18, 1952 in Sebastopol, California to Joseph Elmore Badger and Lillian (Morley) Badger, the fourth of six children. He attended school in California where he was very active in The Boy Scouts. He excelled in the Explorer Program, and qualified to go on several trips. He earned his SCUBA certification and went on excursions to Mexico and other points of interest along California’s coast. Two weeks following graduating from Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, California, he was involved in a serious car accident that changed his life forever. Against all odds and the poor prognosis of his doctors, Howard not only survived, but he tried to have the best life possible. His wonderful caregivers contributed to his happiness and quality of life, for which our family will always be grateful. His cat Princess was a true joy in his life and a comfort to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lillian Badger, and brother Don Badger.
Howard is survived by his sister, Kathryn Staiger and husband Clark, of Enid; brother Charles Badger and wife Lynn, of Santa Rosa, CA; brother Tim Badger of Santa Rosa; CA; sister Jeanne Terribilini and husband Phil of Santa Rosa, CA; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
Memorials may be made to the Missionary Fund for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
