Bonnie Alexander

November 10, 1956 — December 10, 2019

A successful life should not be measured by academic degrees, position or money. It should be measured by love for God, love for family and kindness and compassion toward all. Bonnie Jean Alexander was a success in her life here on earth.

Bonnie Jean Alexander left this earthly life on December 10, 2019.

Bonnie was born on November 10, 1956 to A.P. Hunt and Mary Lou (Murr) in Lewiston, Idaho where A.P. worked for a newspaper.

In 1958 they moved to Oklahoma where Bonnie attended school in Valiant, Broken Bow, Cherokee and Jet, OK. Bonnie graduated from Jet-Nash High School in May 1975.

On June 16, 1975 Bonnie married Danny Alexander in the Baptist Church in Nash, OK. To this union were born three children, Terry Lee, Joey Wayne and Ashley Marie.

Bonnie later moved to Enid where she worked for several years as a Unit Supervisor for Norce. As her health declined, she moved to Pond Creek to be closer to her grandchildren.

Bonnie’s biggest priority in her life was her children and grandchildren. She was the happiest when she was in their company. She loved supporting them in everything they did and she reveled in their accomplishments. She loved being at the many football, basketball, baseball games, vocal programs and school plays. She loved seeing them succeed and was always there with a loving smile and warm hug no matter what the outcome.

To her family, Bonnie was always so caring and compassionate. If a family member shared a problem with her she was always concerned and sympathetic. She would worry over someone’s else’s problem before even considering her own circumstances. She would contact the person checking back to get an update to see if things were going better. If they weren’t, she would keep in contact. She loved her family, her brothers, her sisters, her nieces and nephews with every ounce of her being.

To her friends, Bonnie loved keeping in touch. Even during the times when she was unable to travel much she loved hearing from them about their families and reminiscing about old times. She was always there to lend and ear. Bonnie was a good friend to everyone she met. In high school she had been voted Most Friendly of her senior class. She always had a smile and a greeting for everyone.

Bonnie is survived by her three children and 12 grandchildren, son Terry Alexander and wife Lindsay, children Isaiah, William, Jonny, Connor, Carson, Kane and a great granddaughter, Marley. Son, Joey Alexander and wife Chandrea, children Kailyn, Daila and Corbin and Cannon, soon to be here in April. Daughter, Ashley, children, Levi and Zoey.

She also is survived by her brothers, Leonard Hunt, David Hunt, Mike Burgess and Mark Burgess and her sisters, Brenda Johnson, Diane Hunt and Marsha Smart.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Bette Billen, brother Gene Hunt and special friend Mark Pidcock.
