Obituary for Marvin Lee Moody

A Graveside service for Marvin Lee Moody, age 85, will be 2:00pm Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid Oklahoma. Services are under the directions of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Marvin was born on June 15, 1937 in Bartlesville Oklahoma to Edward Lee Moody and Jeanie Juanita Ida Camilia Flint Moody. He married, Eva Moony Moody on October 8, 1955 and attended OSU part time while working where he earned an engineering degree. Eva preceded him in death on October 30, 2017. Marvin Lee Moody passed away on February 14, 2023 at the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City.

Marvin worked as an engineer in procurement for Cities Service Gas Company and Anschutz Exploration before taking early retirement. Marvin and Eva were lifetime entrepreneurs starting and selling several businesses including, ceramics and breeding and selling dogs, chickens, exotic birds, snakes, rodents, and game birds. Marvin was a member and deacon of the Liberty Southern Baptist Church.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, wife and three brothers, Charles, James and Don. Marvin is survived by one brother, Joe Moody, of Broken Arrow, and one sister, Nita Kriesel and Husband Jim of Spring Texas, two daughters, Leah Adams and husband Perry of Custer City and Denise Beck and husband Terry of Yukon, five Grandchildren Luke Adams & Spouse Erin of Clinton, Anthony Seth Adams and Spouse Laci of Clinton, Paige Jean Booze and Spouse Micah of Coopers Landing Alaska, Carmen Danae Grundy of Edmond and Carl Clinton Wheeler III of Oklahoma City, eight Great Grandchildren, Zinn Henry Booze and Ridge Leonard Booze of Coopers Landing, Alaska and Jaxson Grundy and Tyson Grundy of Edmond, Parker Luke Adams, Ryder Thomas Adams, Leah Magdalene Adams, of Clinton, OK, William Christopher Adams, wife Gabby Adams, of Oklahoma City, and one great-great granddaughter: Lyla Rose Adams of Oklahoma City.

The family wished to thank the staff at Baptist Village of Oklahoma City for their care of Marvin the years he spent there.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Liberty Southern Baptist Church with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
