A Celebration of Life for Lillian Louise (Krejci) Smith, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 23, 2022 at Willow Road Christian Church in Enid, Oklahoma, with Pastor Ryan Nelson officiating. Burial in Waukomis Cemetery will follow under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, December 22nd at the funeral home.

Lillian Louise Krejci, age 90, was born June 7, 1932 on the family farm east of Waukomis, Oklahoma to Joseph and Mary Krejci, first generation legal immigrants from Czechoslovakia. She passed from this life into her new one in heaven after a very short illness with cancer on Dec. 16, 2022. Her parents first settled and homesteaded in the Waukomis area. She attended the Pioneer Schools for 11 years and graduated from Waukomis High School in 1950. After graduation, she was employed by Evans Drug and Herzberg in Enid. The youngest of five children, Lillian had three brothers, Joe, Adolph and Lewis, all proceeding her in death and one surviving sister, Marcella Markes.

She and Ralph Martin Meier were united in marriage on April 1, 1951 and they lived on a farm east of Waukomis, Oklahoma. To this union were born four children, Maryl Lyn, Martin Kent, Matthew Rodney and Mark Jeffrey.

Lillian (Lyn) was married to L.L. (Tom) Smith of Enid in 1992 and they lived in Enid until his death in 2006.

Lillian was a huge fan of going to Branson, Missouri where she loved watching the Lawrence Welk Shows and Daniel O’Donnell and taking her daughter to Silver Dollar City where she made many lifelong friends with some of the staff there. She made her last trip there on her 90th Birthday where we celebrated. In her younger years, she loved to attend the Czech Polka Dances at the Czech Hall in Yukon. She also loved seeing her daughter smile and laugh, and to spoil her dogs

She loved being grandma to her 7 grandsons and cooking many family meals over the years where we would all gather to share funny stories and laugh until the cows came home. Nothing pleased her more than her family being together at such times!

Lillian spent over 50 years of her life dedicating herself towards her special-needs daughter, Maryl Lyn, who needed constant care and supervision. She made sure Maryl lived a full and happy life until her death December 19, 2020. Lillian lived out her faith in how she did so unselfishly, totally surrendering her needs and desires to Maryl’s welfare and happiness. She was to those of us to knew and loved her a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love for us.

Those proceeding her in death were her parents, Joseph and Mary, brothers, Joe, Adolph and Lewis and her daughter, Maryl.

Those still with us and celebrating her long life well-lived are her sister, Marcella Markes of Enid; her sons, Martin Meier of Wichita, Kansas, Matt Meier and wife, Sheryl of rural Garber, Mark Meier and wife, LaDonna of Enid; grandsons, Brett Meier, Kyle Meier, Jeff Meier and wife Erin, Doug Meier and wife Kala, Andy Meier and wife Karsten, Branden Meier and Jared Meier. Also surviving her are 3 great granddaughters, Ava, Gentry, and Sawyer and one great grandson, Silas and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She will be sorely missed yet we are celebrating her new life with her in Heaven.

Memorial contributions in Lillian’s name may be made to 4RKids or Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
