Obituary for Jan Spruill (Strait)
A Celebration of Life for Jan Spruill, age 60, of Enid, will be 3:00 pm, Friday, October 28, 2022 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Lillie officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 on Friday prior to the start of the services. Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Jan was born on January 18, 1962 in Wellington, Kansas to Harlan and Lila Fae (Hutcheson) Strait, and passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 in Enid.
Jan was known to have boundless energy, she rarely sat still! She was a country girl through and through; she loved going to Keystone and Kaw Lake; playing shuffleboard; spending time with her friends; and helping Howie with wheat harvest by driving the combine, taking meals to the field and anything else that was needed. She was an excellent cook, she would go to the deer cabin and cook for the hunters.
Jan is survived by her daughter, Kassi Spruill, of Enid; father, Harlan Strait, of Jet, Ok; fiancé, Howard Schneider, of Nash, OK; two grandchildren, Brianna Turner and Nathaneal Rose, both of Enid; two brothers, Jerry Strait and wife Billie, of Piedmont; Michael Strait and wife Roxie, of Prescott, AZ; as well as multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions in Jan’s name may be made to the American Heart Association or the Nash Fire Department with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
