Obituary for Ruth Irene Gabriel (Johnston)
Funeral services for Irene Gabriel, 98, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Berkenbile officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Irene was born July 6, 1922 in Garber to Truman and Olga Johnston and passed away June 20, 2021 in Hennessey. She graduated from Waukomis High School.
Irene is survived by her children, Sammy Gabriel (Cindy) of Spartanburg, SC, Sandra Sue Simunek (David) of Marshall, Kay Meek (Michael) of Hennessey and Rita McGuire (Steve) of Lenexa, Kansas; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; numerous great- great grandchildren; brother, Carl Johnston of Denver, CO; brother-in-law, Ernest Gabriel and his wife Clemy.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert and sister, Edna Landwehr.
