Obituary for Marjorie Ellen Riddle (Tankesley)
Graveside services for Marjorie Riddle will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Resthaven Sunset Memorial Park in Ponca City with Pastor Gale Rider officiating. Services are directed by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Marjorie was born March 24, 1928 in Flemington, Missouri to Harry and Myrtle (Jones) Tankesley, and passed away May 18, 2021. She was raised on a farm outside Weaubleau, Missouri. Marjorie married Clyde Riddle on June 27, 1947. As a pastor’s wife, Marjorie served with Clyde in seventeen different communities over the span of more than fifty years.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Rebecca (Lane) Buck of Anthony, KS, Al (Mary) Riddle of Ponca City, Lois (Dan) Sampson Arkansas City, KS, Peggy (Michael) Williams of Shattuck, Mark (Barb) Riddle of Brazoria, TX; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde Riddle; brothers, Warren Tankesley and Harry Tankesley, Jr..
