Obituary for Mary Jo Summers (Vines)
Funeral services for Mary Jo Summers will be 2:00 pm, Monday, May 17, 2021 at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Don Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Mary Jo was born February 11, 1935 in Gideon, Missouri to Austin and Anna (Pyland) Vines, and said her last “I Love You” and went to meet Jesus on May 12, 2021. On May 7, 1952 she married the love of her life Jerry Summers in Tunica, Mississippi.
She is survived by her son, Randy Summers and his wife Suzanne of Lindsay; daughters, Kelly Nave and Penny Shepard of Enid; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and Richard Pyland of Sikeston, Missouri. Mary Jo left a legacy of love for her family to carry on.
Mary Jo is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerry Leon Summers; and daughter, Theresa Hoeltzel.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
