Obituary for William W. Wilhoit

William Wayne Wilhoit was born November the 5th 1950 to Joseph and Lavonne Wilhoit in Enid Oklahoma. Bill had one younger sister; Marsha Prager of Roseburg, Oregon, born June 1, 1953. In 1955, the family moved to Tacoma, Washington, where Bill would attend school through junior year and move to Paramount, California, in 1968 where he graduated from Paramount High School in 1969.

Following graduation, Bill received a Draft Notice into the United States Army which ultimately led to his decision to enlist into the United States Air Force. After four years as an Airman, Bill would return home to California and become a father of his first of three children, Michael Lee Wilhoit, with spouse Kim Boyd.

In 1977, Bill married Sandy Barnes Cutlip of Tacoma, Washington and became step-father of Wanetta Frempter of Arizona, born August 13, 1968. Bills youngest child, Melissa Frisbee, of Enid, Oklahoma, was born September 8, 1978; and in 1980 while working as a mechanic for Datsun, the family moved to Washington State where he continued as a Datsun mechanic, eventually taking employment as a Pneumatic Tool Repair Man for Atlas Foundry. His last job before retirement was at Lynn’s Machine Shop.


In 1989, Bill moved back to his birthplace of Enid, Oklahoma where he would live out the remainder of his life. Bill was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, long-time music connoisseur and a fan of anything fast that ran on oil and gas. Bill’s love for his children and grandchildren was unmatched, and the happiest moments of his life were spent with them. Bill was known best for his wonderful sense of humor, his uncanny ability to turn any situation into a laugh, and having an in incredible heart.

William Wayne Wilhoit passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home in Enid, Oklahoma on Monday, March 8, 2021 surrounded by family, he was 70 years old. As we remember Bill, it’s not his death in which we celebrate but rather his life. Bill would agree, it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey.

John 11: 25-26 says, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die”.

Bill is survived in death by his sister; Marsha Prager, spouse, Sandy Cutlip; three children; Michael Lee Wilhoit; Wanetta Marie Frempter; Melissa Lynn Frisbee; seven grandchildren; Candace Darlene Smith; Tristan Marie Cross; Mandilynn Paige Frisbee; Roxanne Darlene Frisbee; Zeppelin Keith Frisbee; Erica Casey Bearden; Mystic Lynn Wilhoit; and four great-grandchildren; Carson Ray Cross; Hendrix Vonn Haire; Layona Linda Smith; and Truett Arthur Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lavonne Wilhoit and spouse, Kim Boyd.

Celebration of Life Service for William “Bill” Wilhoit, age 70 or Enid will be Monday, March 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation and service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions in Bill’s name may be made to BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse), or OU Children’s Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
