Obituary

Carol Anne Peters, 70, Enid, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 16, 2021 after a hard fight against cancer. She was born on April 2, 1950 in Kansas City, MO to George and Joe Anna Brown. She graduated from Bishop Miege High School in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. After raising her children, Carol worked at Northwest IV Care and Larry’s Home Oxygen, retiring in 2019. Carol was also an active member of West Willow Community Church where she loved to sing with the worship team and to use her gift of hospitality.
Carol is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gary, and her children, Lynne Peters of Rogers, AR and Cheryl Peters of Enid. She is also survived by her sister Linda Tabberer of Sand Springs, OK and her brother Rob Brown of Overland Park, KS and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Dear Gary, Lynn & Cheryl,
It’s amazing how God puts people together. God took us as strangers, made us friends and joined our hearts to yours.
Some of our favorite memories, are trips to Enid, eating and visiting with your family in the evenings. Laughter, shared over stories of life and family always topped off our visits. We can still hear Carol’s voice full of life as she told stories of what had been going on with the family since we saw you last.
The best was sharing, Jesus in each of your lives. How proud Carol is of each of you.
You are Carol’s great legacy. A family who lives and loves the Lord. A family full of grace, forgiveness, encouragement and strength. A family with great heart.
Carol’s love and hugs were always bigger than the sky.
So, when things go wrong and get hard, look up and know God is in control and Carol is with Him. We know, because the way she lived her life and know she gave her heart to Jesus Christ a long time ago.
We love you from afar, you’re in our hearts and prayers.
Jim and Lorra
