Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 16th at the funeral home.
Shirley was born May 13, 1943 in Pendleton, Oregon to William and Bertha (Mason) Mygrant, and passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 in Enid.
She graduated from Enid High School in 1961. She met the love of her life, Claude Powell, on his birthday and their first date, October 21, 1960, and they were married December 15, 1961 in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They would have celebrated 59 years together this month. She lived and raised her family and worked at various beauty shops in Enid until 1985, when she and Claude moved to Kansas City, Kansas, where they lived for 20 years. While in Kansas City she worked in various beauty shops as well. They came back to Enid in 2004 when Claude retired. She and Claude both enjoyed bowling, and were on leagues in Enid and Kansas City. They loved to travel, going to Las Vegas many times; camping trips; and seeing the Colorado mountains.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha Mygrant; brother, Billy Mygrant; and aunt Thelma Harmon. She is survived by her husband Claude Powell, of Enid; two children, Claude Powell, Jr., and wife Sharon, of Shawnee, KS; Kristi Matal and husband Conte, of Enid; three grandchildren, Mitchell, Lucas and Tyler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shirley’s name may be made to The Enid SPCA or St. Jude Children’s Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Claude & family I knew Shirley in Jr.High & EHS. In Jr. High her Mother helped some girls learn to twirl so we could
try out for the band. Shirley was so little & cute. She was so sweet too. I remember seeing her at one of our HS
reunions & we had a good visit. So sorry for your loss. May God Bless your wonderful family.
