A Celebration of Life Service for Lydia M. (Garis) Turner age 77 of Marlow, OK formerly of Garber will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. David Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Garber Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Lydia was born August 22, 1941 in, Wetumka, OK to Charles R. and Alma Theilen Lavicky, Sr and passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 in the Gregstons Nursing Home, Marlow, OK.
Lydia worked at Herzberg Fabric and later was a cook at Garber Public Schools and St. Mary’s Hospital.
She married Phillip Garis on September 9, 1960 in Enid and he passed away in June 2, 1990. She later married Jeff Turner in September 28, 1997 at her home in Garber and they lived in Marlow. She enjoyed hunting and fishing. Lydia loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She is survived by her husband Jeff Turner of Marlow, three sons; Matt (Teresa) Garis, Charles (Stephanie) Garis, Phillip (Laurie), nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, step daughters, Cheryl Riley(Charles), Carolyn Radford( Justin), and Brenda Whitehead, step son Bill Turner (Misty), fourteen step grandchildren, eight step great grandchildren, siblings; Charlie and Helga Lavicky, Louis and Stella Lavicky, Louise and Jim Coleman, Betty Chodrick, Pat and Larry Bixler, Nancy and Butch Buchholz, Harvey Lavicky, Vernie Lavicky, Rose and Bill Longacre, Julie and Charlie Cagle, David and Suzanne Lavicky, and several other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Frances Schulz, and step son Dale Turner.
