A Celebration of Life for Bobby G. Koehn, age 74 years, of Enid, is 10:00 am, Tuesday November 28, 2017 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Sommerfeld officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, November 27, at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Bobby was born April 7, 1943 in Enid to Carl and Laura (Williams) Koehn and passed away Friday, November 24, 2014 in Enid.
Bobby attended Enid Public Schools, following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War until being honorably discharged in 1966. He married Norma Smith on May 12, 1972 and they celebrated 25years together before her passing in 1997. He married Mildred Sue Coleman on July 27, 1998 in Enid. Bobby was a fireman at Vance Air Force Base for 34 years prior to retiring in 2002. Bobby was a member of Grace Mennonite Church for many years, and then was a founding member of Sonrise Fellowship Church where he was a Sunday School teacher, served on the board as treasurer and went on a mission trip to El Salvador.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Laura Koehn; wife Norma Koehn; four sisters, and four brothers.
Bobby is survived by his wife Mildred Sue Koehn, of the home in Enid; eight step-children; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Barger of Enid; Bonnie Durant, of San Antonio, TX; Ruth Ashlock, of Sapulpa, OK; one brother, Birch Dowell, of Enid; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Memorials in Bobby’s name may be made to Sonrise Fellowship Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
