Marilyn Sue  Jones (Stonehocker)
Marilyn “Susie” Jones, 72, died Sunday, October 30, 2016. Susie was born November 8, 1943, To Marion T. & Josephine E. (Williams) Stonehocker, Enid, OK.

Susie was always a horsewoman from early childhood; she trained, showed & competed in Horse events as she grew up. She was Vici Rodeo Queen, Enid Shriner’s Rodeo Queen and
Woodward Elks Rodeo Queen. She was an active member of the Cherokee Round-up Club. She competed in Barrel Racing with “Dusty” the horse she raised and trained from a colt. She Most often won with the best time when she competed in barrel racing. During high school, Susie was a member of the American Legion’s Girls Drum and Bugle Corp.
After high school Susie attended The Enid Business School. She worked at Vance Airforce Base Where she met Jerry Jones after he was released from US Army in 1964. They were married
December 2, 1966, Enid, OK. They made their home in Drummond, OK. Susie was employed at the Drummond Bank For many years then accepted a position as cashier for the Pioneer Telephone Co.,
She worked there until her retirement. Susie loved country music and loved to dance.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jerry of the home, 2 daughters, Robin Schoonmaker, her husband, Brian of Canton, OK, & Kelly Cronister, her husband,
Phillip, Watonga, OK. Grandchildren: Dillan, Kendal, Chelsea & Caitlyn. Her twin sister, Carolyn Christensen, her husband, Jasper, Morrison, OK, and older sister, Sharen Rogers Martin, her husband,
Buck, Enid, OK. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to “Bit by Bit”, an equestrian therapy center, c/o: RSU Equestrian Center, 14674 South Highway 169, Oologah, OK 74053.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, November 2, 2016, Lahoma Community Bible Church, Lahoma, OK. Interment will follow at Del Norte Cemetery, Drummond, OK under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Condolences may be made online and the service may be viewed online at www.ladusauevans.com .
